Safety Certification / OSHA Requirements

OSHA Compliance requires all laminated veneer lumber shall be labeled with the seal of an independent, nationally recognized, third party inspection agency that is approved by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) certifying compliance with ASTM D 5456-09a and ANSI/ASSE A10.8-2001, Section 5.2.10.

Made in the United States every scaffold plank we ship is proof tested and independently certified by the American Plywood Association (APA) to exceed all applicable design criteria for structural composite lumber ANSI Standard ASSE A10.8

Increased volume of scaffold plank is being imported from China and Russia, some of this product is of questionable structural quality and does not meet independent third party inspection requirements. While these planks are stamped “OSHA” there is no guarantee that they comply with OSHA guidelines.

To ensure the safety of your work force before you purchase scaffold plank be sure to ask: Who is the independent inspection agency? How is the plank tested? Is there insurance coverage in case of an accident?
